Briggs & Stratton 26kW Generator—Most Powerful Home Generator

The New Briggs and Stratton 26kW Generator is the most powerful air-cooled generator on the market. Rated capacity is 26kW while running on propane and 24kW on natural gas. This powerful generator uses the Vanguard 993 cc V-Twin Commercial Grade OHV Engine. At low idle, it makes about 63 dBA noise, and 65 dBA during normal operation (under load).

Features:

  • Easy No-Tool Access to Major Components and Maintenance
  • Thermally protected fuel system shuts off fuel in case of fire.
  • Longest, most comprehensive warranty of any air-cooled generator in it’s clase

Equipped with a 993 cc Vanguard Commercial OHV V-Twin Engine with automatic low oil shutdown, the 26kW powers through long outages in any weather—including hurricanes and wind up to 186 MPH. Symphony or Amplify Power Management Available.

Briggs and Stratton Rates the 20kW PowerProtect Generator at 20kW while running on Natural Gas or Propane—more power than any competing generator in its class and capacity. Easy to use control panel makes repairs easier and less costly.

Briggs and Stratton 20kW Home Standby Generator—Most Power in its Class

20kW Standby Generators stood at the top end of air-cooled generators for a long time. Manufacturers set ratings at 20kW for propane and 17kW for Natural Gas. Briggs and Stratton sets a higher standard with the new 20kW PowerProtect Generator. It has the same 993 cc Vanguard Commercial V-Twin OHV engine as the 26kW giving it plenty of power to output 20kW on Natural Gas instead of limiting to a lower capacity.

Features:

  • More natural gas power than competing 20kW models.
  • Easy to Use Control Panel—faster repairs and maintenance.
  • Restores Power Seconds after the outage hits.

The Briggs and Stratton 20kW restores power to your home during a utility outage or Public Safety Power Shutoff. It won’t matter if you’re at home or away on business or vacation, the generator senses a power outage and starts. The automatic transfer switch moves the house onto generator power for the duration of the outage.

A Briggs and Stratton 12kW PowerProtect Generator installed next to a mid-sized home. With Power Management, the generator can supply all the appliances with power, but the heaviest loads may have to take turns and share the generator capacity.

Briggs and Stratton 12kW Home Standby Generator—Small to Midsize Homes

The Briggs & Stratton 12kW PowerProtect Generator has a size and shape that compares to a central air conditioner unit—half the size of competing brands. It’s ideal for whole house installations on small to Midsize homes or applications where the homeowner decides to power just the essentials—often the case when propane is the fuel of choice. Briggs and Stratton rates the generator at 12kW on Propane and 10.8kW on Natural Gas.

Features:

  • Smallest footprint in its class—50% smaller than competing models.
  • Front-facing exhaust with 18-inch to home installation.
  • Quiet Operation—64 dBA low idle, 70 dBA normal operation.

Briggs and Stratton equipped the 12kW generators with a 570cc V-Twin Vanguard OHV Commercial Engine. PowerProtect generators are compatible with Symphony II or Amplify Power Management sold separately.
