The Generac 28kW Home Standby
With a 997cc Generac Engine, the new Generac 28kw Generator will take the lead as the industry’s most powerful air-cooled home standby generator. Norwall will offer the new 28kW with or without a 200-Amp, Service Entrance Rated Automatic Transfer Switch.
The 28kW generator highlights the latest product line upgrade in over ten years, with home standby generators from 10kW to 28kW.
A decade ago, the 20kW led the air-cooled lineup for major brands selling air-cooled home standby generators. Generac pushed the envelope higher, first with the 22 kilowatt, and then the 24 kilowatt. In 2022, the announcement of the new 26 kilowatt brought new excitement. Other manufacturers announced their 26 kilowatt generators.

Advanced Connectivity: Built-in cellular connectivity for reliable, real-time monitoring from your phone. The new advanced controller provides four times the diagnostics capability while monitoring performance. The generator is fully compatible with the Generac Ecosystem.
Optimal Reliability: Better cold start performance for proper functionality in all weather. The new automatic transfer switch comes with built-in whole home surge protection. Oil level sensing via Mobile Link helps keep your generator ready to run.
Improved Efficiency: The EFIC Electronic Fuel & Ignition Control controls the fuel supply to lower fuel emissions. Best in class maintenance intervals require service every 200 hours instead of every 100 hours.
